Today, we travel to Wellington, Florida USA, to meet the co-founder of The PEEPS Foundation, Alex Granato. Alex, a professional hunter jumper, along with fellow professional rider Josh Dolan, established The PEEPS Foundation for the rescue of miniature horses, particularly for those with dwarfism which can lead to lifelong health problems. What started out as a two-person team has grown into a much bigger operation as they are now joined by dedicated volunteers. This is a non-profit organization whose team of volunteers provides services to various aspects of miniature horse care, which includes rescue, joint and foot care, dietary needs, general health, and adoption placement.
Touched by their effort, sacrifice and volunteer work in helping to rescue miniature horses and placing them in loving homes, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai “Appreciatively present The PEEPS Foundation the Shining World Compassion Award, plus US$20,000 with lots of love, hugs and gratitude. May all involved live long, happy lives with God’s Blessing. May the beings you rescue enjoy care, love and dignity for the rest of their lives, in God’s Love.”
“We’re so grateful and honored that you guys would recognize our Foundation. It really did just start as a labor of love towards horses and especially the small ones. It’s just such an honor to be recognized and get more support worldwide for what we’re doing here. I just wanted to say again, from myself and Josh Dolan and all of our animals here at The Peeps Foundation, to Supreme Master Ching Hai, we are so grateful and so thankful for Your recognition and Your donation and can’t wait to put it to good use helping these animals.”
