Ms. Diana Khalatbari - Messenger of Hope and Kindness

Diana Khalatbari, an extraordinary lady with endless energy, determination and passion, tirelessly works to bring hope and kindness to those in need. In September, Golden Year 4 (2007), she also became a worthy recipient of the Shining World Leadership Award.

In 1998, Mrs. Khalatbari founded the Popli Khalatbari Charitable Foundation (PKCF) as a tribute to the spirit of her daughter Popli, to help and support children worldwide. The foundation's motto is: "Blessed is he who reaches out to those in need."

Through PKCF, Diana has helped fund and manage many projects for organizations worldwide. In Iran, several schools have benefited from PKCF's support, including Hakim Farabi Vocational School in Bam, which was rebuilt following the region's 2003 earthquake. PKCF also makes ongoing donations to many organizations throughout the world such as Shriner's Hospital for Children in Los Angeles, USA, Heal Project in Zambia, and ninemillion.org, a United Nations agency that provides child refugees with sports and education opportunities.

In December, Golden Year 3 (2006), Supreme Master Ching Hai contributed US$10,000 to support PKCF's work. In her appreciation letter, Diana wrote, "Your donation makes a noticeable impact on what the Foundation can aim to achieve this year, and for this we extend our heartfelt thanks." Diana received the Shining World Leadership Award from The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association in September of last year. With much humility, Diana thanked Supreme Master Ching Hai for Her generous acknowledgement and said that she admires Master as a truly noble human being who has dedicated Her entire life to bring peace and love to our world.
