The City of Curitiba, Brazil

Curitiba is a world leader in energy-efficient urban planning. For implementing such a successful plan to reduce both the consumption of fossil fuels and air pollution, for the contribution to the improvement of the quality of life by adding adequate education, health care, garbage systems, recreation and park areas for its citizens, and for setting a shining example for many cities around the world to follow, Master has honored the city with a Shining World Leadership Award. The receipt of the award was graciously acknowledged on April 9, Golden Year 4 (2007), by the International Relations Secretary of the City Hall of Curitiba, Mr. Eduardo Pereira Guimaraes, on behalf of the mayor, Mr. Carlos Alberto Richa.
