Molly - Cat Walks Four Months to Return Home

On March 11, Golden Year 5 (2008), on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai, our Association members presented the Shining World Hero Award to Molly, a remarkable cat, who journeyed for four months over 150 kilometers and across at least one river to return home.

Molly disappeared during a three-week vacation with her human companions, the Hight family. The timing of her return was perfect as they were due to move out of their home in just a week! Molly was a bit thinner when she arrived but appeared to be in very good condition. She has become much more loving and affectionate than before, according to the family. The Hights are all very thankful to have her back and Molly seems very pleased to be back home as well. In addition to the Award, this happy feline was also given a soft cat cushion and a big bag of vegan cat food; with the family, the initiates shared Master's publications.
